Sydney 2026. I ran replay for the world feed, the broadcast that went out live to Italy, to Peacock and NBC in the United States, and across Eurovision Sport. Six cameras, one chair, and no second takes.
I was the replay operator on the host broadcast, engaged through the production company delivering the world feed for World Aquatics. Six cameras fed into my replay system, and everything the world saw twice came through that desk.
Live, that meant finding every goal within seconds and getting it back to air before the restart. Around the live cut, I built the packages that ran at each break: first quarter highlights, half time, third quarter, full time, and the celebration closer at the end of a final.
The same footage fed the news and social side of the event too. Vision for the VNR that goes out to news desks, and clips cut for social while the game was still being played, because a highlight is worth far more in the next ten minutes than the next day.
