A proposal happens once, and you only get one shot at it. I set up discreetly in position beforehand and photograph the proposal as it unfolds, the real question and the real reaction, before stepping in for a relaxed couple session straight after. You keep every bit of the raw emotion and still walk away with a full gallery of portraits from the same golden-hour light.
Engagement sessions work the same way, just without the surprise. We pick a location that means something to you, from Burleigh headland and Currumbin to Surfers Paradise or a quiet stretch of The Spit, shoot around sunrise or sunset for the softest, most flattering light, and keep the whole thing easy and unposed so the photos actually look like you.
You get a full edited gallery, a fast sneak-peek set within a day or two, and the option to add a cinematic highlight video, because I shoot and edit motion as well as stills. That is the difference: most photographers can only hand you photos, and you leave with the film as well.
